2023 is a big year for Square Enix- releasing new blockchain/NFT games, an animated adaptation of their game; Nier: Automata Ver1.1a , and much more!
For those who don’t know, the Square Enix Group develops and publishes online games and mobile entertainment. The Group also provides a variety of digital entertainment content through its network of leading studios and business operations.
Square Enix has produced various high-quality games, some of which include Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, Tomb Raider, Heroes & Generals, Deus Ex Human Revolution, and Space Invaders.
Square Enix is doubling down on blockchain
Despite the lack of trust in the crypto and NFT industry due to scandalous companies like FTX; The Group has doubled down on blockchain; CEO Yosuke Matsuda pointed out a broad acceptance of blockchain technology. Currently, the company is working on releasing serval blockchain games in 2023 including SYMBIOGENESIS, a global NFT collectible art project (servers open February 2023).
Square Enix’s new anime adaption
Most recently (January 2023), The Group has released the anime adaption of their game Nier: Automata produced by Aniplex of America called Nier:Automata Ver1.1a and now available on Crunchyroll. However, production of the show has been halted after 3 episodes due to COVID-19-related issues. There is currently no news yet on when the release of episode 4 or further production of the series will resume.

Interview Process
Your resume will be reviewed by Square Enix’s HR team and hiring managers. If your experience and skills are relevant to the role, you will be invited to interview. The interview process typically has 3 stages:
1) An introductory phone screen to exchange preliminary information, concerning your background and our company.
2) The initial interview to understand your experience and skills. This will be with the hiring manager via phone or Zoom.
3) Follow-up interviews for a deeper dive into your experience. This is also a chance for you to meet some of your colleagues and the Department Head. You may also be asked to complete a skills assessment, to evaluate your capabilities. We appreciate that this will take some time, but hope you see it as a valuable opportunity to let us get to know each other better.
